Butler Museum

Saturday & Sunday

Museum Open

  • Guided tour of the museum by residents of old Butler: $2 adults, $1 children

Old Butler” tour on the lake

  • Guided tour by Outdoor Adventures, Wally Bender. Leaves the marina at Bayview Campground, Butler on the hour 9:00 am – 5:00 pm. Tickets at $5.00 per person

 

Cove Ridge Marina

Saturday

10:00 am – 6:00 pm

11:00 am Water Safety –TN Wildlife Resources, Dennis Ward

10:00 am – 4:00 pm “Cruise In” – classic cars, Carter County Car Club

Sunday

Noon to 3:00 pm

1:00 pm - 3:00 pm “Poker Run” on the lake. Entry is $10. 1st prize is 40%, 2nd prize is 30%, and 3rd prize is 20%

Poga Float” (pronounced “pogee float”) – Jug race down the river. Ticket holders will have a numbered jug placed in the race – one ticket per jug. Purchase as many tickets as you like. The winning jug will be the first one that enters catch net.

Jugs will be released @ 2:00 pm Saturday. Race will end at the Poga Fire Department

Winner will receive a “Watauga Lake Experience” weekend at a cabin or B & B, dinner, boat on the lake. Purchasd tickets in advanced: $3.00 ea or 2 tickets for $5.00

Laurel Falls Hike

OptOutside will provide a guided hike to Laurel Falls - limited to 10 people because we are in a wilderness area. Bottled water and snack packs available for $3. Bring a daypack, if you have one. Pre-Registration required at ww.WataugaLakeExperience.com/hike.

 

Stone Mountain Log Homes

Saturday & Sunday

8:00 am – 5:00 pm

10:00 am – 3:00 pm - “Photo Safari Scavenger Expedition” – follow the map, shoot the pictures. Camera’s provided. You keep the picture. Prizes awarded Sunday. Entrance fee is $15.
