The Mountain Lodge


      An awe-inspiring 30 foot ceiling, accented by cherry railings on a distinctive staircase greets you as you enter The Mountain Lodge, an enchanting expression of expert mountain handicraft. The brass chandelier in the entrance foyer matches smaller ones in the dining room. A fireplace in the living room on the main floor creates a comfortable atmosphere for relaxing and conversation. The Mountain Lodge is fully heated and air-conditioned with ten individual guestrooms, each with private baths and thermostats. The rooms' names are inspired by interesting themes and décor: Asia, The Himalayas, Cherokees, and Nature. The Lodge is equipped with wireless internet and satellite TV. It has a spacious kitchen and dining room with seating for 30, a large cozy TV lounge with coffee bar, and expansive decks with frequent views of whitetail deer, wild turkeys and other small game. The Lodge can accommodate up to 30 people; it is a perfect getaway for groups and families, or anyone who wants to experience nature's beauty and mystique.

Cherokee House

     With saltbox style architecture, this beautifully remodeled home boasts a river stone pathway leading to a broad front porch with rocking chairs, a welcoming incentive for talking with old and new friends. The cozy interior includes 4 bedrooms for 8 guests with 2 full baths and laundry facilities. The spacious living room has fireplace, satellite TV and a VCR/DVD player. Meal preparation will be fun in the full modern kitchen lined with pine cabinets, new appliances and extensive counter space.

Chestnut Farmhouse


     Originally built in 1929, this beautifully renovated 2,700 square foot house has a red tin roof and a lovely wrap around porch which opens to a green lawn, a favorite munching area for the local whitetail deer. It lies a quarter mile from The Lodge and has 5 guestrooms and 3 full baths which can accommodate up to 14 people. The house also features a full kitchen, fireplace, large dining area, and laundry amenities, as well as a living room equipped with satellite TV, VCR/DVD player, and a medley of books.

Hemlock House

     Near to the lodge is the all new Hemlock House. This architectural gem in the forest has three spacious guest rooms and a bonus room. It can sleep up to 10 people. A cathedral ceiling, fireplace, and comfortable seating make the living room with satellite TV and DVD/VCR player an enchanting place to relax. The Hemlock House features a panoramic deck which gives a perfect vantage point from which to observe the whitetail deer and turkeys which routinely pass through its mountain vista.

Sequoia Cottage


     The Cottage combines a unique and aesthetic expression of a talented furniture designer combining a perfect blend of old and new architecture. Diagonal white-pine ceilings, skylights, ancient timbers, private decks and spectacular views are what guests describe as "seductive simplicity." A hot tub offers an extra touch of luxury. The fully heated and air conditioned Cottage, accommodating comfortably 6-8 guests, has 3 bedrooms, 1 living room with satellite TV and DVD/VCR player, 1 intimate dining area, 1 full modern kitchen lined with pine cabinets and new appliances, laundry facilities, fireplace, 3 full baths and 1 half bath.

The Overmountain Conference Center

     This functional 1,200 square foot conference facility with Audio/Video equipment, bathrooms, 3 private showers, and a kitchenette has a 600 square foot open deck in the rear with picturesque mountain vistas. It comfortably seats 75 to 100 people and is fully heated and air-conditioned. It lies across from the Cherokee House and close to the Sequoia Cottage, all three comprising the Overmountain Center.
