Recently the Robertson family joined us for three days on  Easter weekend. Besides hanging out together in the Sequoia Cottage they enjoyed hiking on our trails and observing the wildlife on our 300 acre property. The highpoint of the trip was the time spent on Easter Sunday fishing with Judson Conway owner of Elk Creek Outfitters. The weather was cool but fish action was hot. Women’s Weekend Church Retreat
Friday 1pm – Sunday 1pm
 
Sugar Hollow Retreat has hosted a number of women’s events, which provide insight into church management, ethical values, relaxation, outdoor activities and group interchange. The following is a schedule that was used by one church group but can be modified to suit the preferences of any women’s organization. 
 
Friday
11am - 1pm   Leaders arrive to setup and organize activities with innkeeper assistance as needed
1-2pm Welcoming participants

I have to be honest and say that I was not looking forward to the company retreat our HR department decided to put together. The last thing I wanted was to take time out of my busy schedule to go out to some mountain retreat center and "get to know" my co-workers better.

My parents thought I was crazy when I said I wanted a destination wedding. Their first thoughts were of Paris, Italy, or some exotic destination. Lucky for them I am an outdoors kind of girl and wanted to have my wedding day somewhere that was intimate, and close to nature.

A few years back, I went to Sugar Hollow Retreat for a church trip and it kept coming to mind when I was thinking of destinations for the wedding. I loved the mountains, I loved the area around Sugar Hollow and I finally decided to give them a call to see what could be arranged.

It seems as though it has been ages since you've seen cousin Barb and her little ones (who aren't so little anymore), or gotten the chance to catch up on family gossip with the rest of the family. Why not take the bull by the horns and plan a good, old-fashioned family reunion.
