Project Healing Waters - Wounded Vets Heal Through Fishing

By Jennifer

No one can really tell the true story of what it’s like to be wounded in war. Even one who has been there might not be able to explain to those of us who sleep safely in our beds each night.

But we can all help those who have served our country.

Project Healing Waters is having an event near Sugar Hollow soon.

Our Quirky Mountain Wedding

By Phillip Brenneis

Sears-Brenneis WeddingWhile my new wife and I respect tradition, the bride-in-white, dressy formal wedding at a church was not for us. We needed a wedding that was a little off-beat, unique. Something more our style. Having yawned our way through plenty of weddings in the past, our highest priorities were bringing the people we love together to witness our day, and making sure they had fun. Sugar Hollow Retreat is the only place I can imagine that really fit us.

Family Fun on the Water

By Sugar Hollow

Recently the Robertson family joined us for a three day family vacation. Besides hanging out together in the Sequoia Cottage they enjoyed hiking on our trails and observing the wildlife on our 300 acre property. The highpoint of the trip was the time spent fishing with Judson Conway owner of Elk Creek Outfitters. The weather was cool but fish action was hot. Shown are Isaac and Dillon Robertson and their Guide Judson Conway with a couple of  their prize catches of the day..

Cool Place for a Corporate Retreat

By SHR

I have to be honest and say that I was not looking forward to the company retreat our HR department decided to put together. The last thing I wanted was to take time out of my busy schedule to go out to some mountain retreat center and "get to know" my co-workers better.
