Girl and Boy Scouts

Sugar Hollow Retreat supports Boy Scouts of America and Girl Scouts of the USA in their goals to "offer young people responsible fun and adventure," and "build girls of courage, confidence and character, who make the world a better place."

The 300 acres of Sugar Hollow offer ample opportunity for adventure. Wildlife abounds and the network of walking trails offers views of the mountains and forest which are breathtaking. The Elk River and Watauga Lake offer further opportunity for outdoor activities. The opportunity to introduce young people to the mysteries of nature, while maintaining the high comfort level provided by the retreat's facilities, is wonderful.
