Directions from Johnson City, TN to Sugar Hollow Retreat

Take I-26 East in JOHNSON CITY
After taking exit 24 you will drive about 7 miles and the road will fork at a stoplight. Broad Street will be to your left and the Downtown Historic Road (Elk Ave.) will be straight ahead. Merge LEFT onto Broad Street/321/TN-67.
Go another mile. Turn RIGHT at the Food City grocery store onto TN-67 S/US-321 S/VETERANS MEMORIAL PKWY/US-19E S.
Go 5.1 miles. Just after a McDonald's on the left, turn LEFT at a Shell gas station and convenience store onto highway TN-67/US-321, which passes through Hampton, TN.
Go 9.6 miles. Turn RIGHT onto HWY TN-321 towards Boone, NC. Shirley's restaurant is located on the right, one mile before this turn. If you pass over a bridge over Watauga Lake, you have missed your turn.
Go 10 miles. You will see the well-lit Elk Mills store on your right.  Go uphill 0.5 miles. Turn LEFT at the Sugar Hollow Retreat sign on your left (see picture).
If this entrance is closed, follow directions to the old entrance shown below.

After turning off TN-321 You will see this sign outlining buildings and roads at Sugar Hollow. To reach the office/Lodge, bear RIGHT onto the gravel White Tail Deer Drive.
Drive up the hill to this sign. Continue driving 1.1 miles to the next sign.
At this sign turn LEFT and go up the hill.

If the new entrance is closed, follow these directions:

Pass by our new entrance sign. Approximately .5 miles down the road, you will see a blue Sugar Hollow sign on your right and this sign on your left:

Turn LEFT at this sign on to Buntontown Rd.
Go approximately 1 mile and you will see this sign on your left along with a small pond. Turn LEFT at this sign on Sugar Hollow Road. The road will fork. Stay to your left.
Go approximately ½ mile to the top of the hill and take a LEFT onto a dirt road named Elk Ridge. You will see this sign on your left:
Follow the dirt road. You will pass a house on your left and 2 barns. At this sign continue straight up the hill to the Lodge.
