Disc Golf in the Tennessee Mountains at Sugar Hollow Retreat
Disc Golf at Sugar Hollow? It could be soon!
Innkeeper Jim Gresch reports that Disc Golf could be the next fun, family friendly activity at Sugar Hollow Retreat. “This is something that I really want to make happen,” says Gresch. Disc Golf is a great family activity that kids, parents and even grandparents can all partake in. It is played much like traditional golf with the goal being the fewest number of strokes. However instead of using a club and ball one uses a set of Disc’s to play down the fairway attempting to get the ball in a “hole” which is actually a basket with dangling chains to catch the disc. “This is the perfect activity for Sugar Hollow,” says Gresch, “Because it will blend right into the beauty of the property,” allowing the guest to enjoy the natural beauty that is never in short supply at Sugar Hollow Retreat.
Update - Video of Disc Golf Now Available!
This video was produced by Philip Aschliman who is a student in Dr. Andy Dotterweich's class at ETSU and was responsible for the design and management of the project.
